(REVIEW) WE TALK SUNBLOCK..
Hi there. so today we're gonna talk sunblock! yay! so what's so vital about sunblocks?? firstly they protect our skin from direct contact with UVA/UVB which are really damaging to our skin and whole body even... getting a darker and duller skin is one thing..but a higher possibility of getting skin cancer definitely put sunblocks as a" MUST HAVE" product out there.Living in a southeast-asian country/any country similarly hot/hotter and to not own a sunblock..is equal to saying i don't care about my skin/ hello bad skin.if you have sensitive skin and not wear a sunblock..your skin can get irritated by sunlight and start acting out(pimples, scars that seems that they will never fade, sun spots, dry skin,etc2).
So..how to choose a good sunblock??
first of all...look for sunblocks with higher SPF and more +++.the higher SPF provides you with better protection against sunlight..but also we want other properties like sweat-proof,water-proof,non-comedogenic,etc2. while some sunblocks offers higher spf than others it doesn't necessarily mean they are better as a whole..For oily, trouble prone skin it would be better to choose sunblocks that are non-comedogenic ,water-based and sweat proof.. for normal-dry skin oil based sunblocks would be the best type since it can add the little more moisture you're looking for.
these are a couple of sunblocks i've tried

these are a couple of sunblocks i've tried
i started out using sunplay watery cool spf 65PA+++ and it's pretty awesome..i think it protects my skin quite well.(my face doesn't tan easily). It's water based so it doesn't add extra oil/shine to my face after using it.i would usually top it with a losse powder still.. and what i love the most...it feels great! super cooling and fresh ..like i wash my face with mint soap.LOL
after i finished with 2 bottles of watery cool sunplay i changed to superplay superblock (SPF 130PA+++) and i can't say i see anything different..it works just similarly like the watery cool...minus the refreshing minty feel that i missed :(
so next,,just out of curiosity,,i bought the neutrogena one..(SPF50+ PA+++) the spf are lower...i know.. but they did offers some intresting properties like dermatologist tested(i'm weak for these.LOL),has Helioplex which stabilize sunblock,PABA free, waterproof, sweat proof and resist rub-off..it's also the NO1 sunblock in US..(written on the box)?!. however ..i used these for swimming once and my skin get's tanned like crazy after just 5 minutes..so..u be the judge .. :(
conclusion? i would still say sunplay watery cool is my absolute favourite..with superblock coming close and neutrogena finally.
p/s: all these result are my personal experience..it might vary for others...so.good luck beauties!!
(REVIEW) L'OREAL PERFECT CLEAN FOAMING GEL WASH WITH SALICYLIC ACID
HEY GUYS!!! :)
so..today i'm gonna do a review for my most favourite cleanser out there..none other than the already so popular miss L'OREAL PERFECT CLEAN..

i've been using this cleanser for 3 month or more, straight and i can absolutely tell you THIS.PRODUCT.IS .GREAT. the strongest point of this product would be that it comes with a rubbery, flexible brush called THE SCRUBLET that helps push the product deeper into your skin so it won't only clean your skin superficially but deep into the layers of skin..i find this very2 vital especially for products that has salicylic acid because we would want the salicylic acid to penetrate into our skin to the serbaceous gland(to control production of oils) and to the clogged up/bacteria filled pores to clean them up..While there are tonnes of salicylic acid containing products out there.. most of them does not penetrate well into skin(unless you buy Clarisonic..LOL).. well,i think this brush is quite similar to clarisonic in function.it helps push the product deeper with a cheaper price too :)
so the next strong point of this cleanser would be the product it self..the gel wash foams really2 well and it doesn't leave any residue after you rinse your face..i would usually leave it on my face for 5 minutes before rinsing while i brush my teeth just to make the product stay longer on my face. i find my face less oily and less prone to breakouts since using this product..back then.i used to get brown spots on my nose( my dermatologist told me it is not blackheads..just my pores filled with over produce oil which later oxidize leaving a black colour) so he said the best thing to do is to regularly clean my pores so that the oil doesn't accumulate and oxidize in time..well,since using this product i never saw one of those brown spots again..well maybe a few..when i go lazy with my face care routine.LOL.. anyways ...i totally recommend this for those with acne prone/trouble prone skin..for dry skin fellas...you can try other range from this line ( i haven't..those who have are welcomed to share their experience:))

ah! it does make my skin feel a little bit dry after using though...so i will always apply my moisturizer right after cleansing my face,,:) not a big problem for me..
i give this product a 5/5
i bought this at Sasa.com for 25MYR or so ..but this is totally available at watsons/guardian..
so good luck beauties!

(REVIEW) NEUTROGENA OIL-FREE MOISTURE FOR COMBINATION SKIN(pink)
Hi there beauties!! :) today's review is for my fav moisturizer...by Neutrogena! as u can see i already used 2 bottles of them :)so, what's so good about it? first of all..it feels so light on my skin eventhough it moisturizes well.(i hate using products that feels heavy/thick on my skin..uggh).it absorbs into skin instantly and doesn't make my skin look even more oily like most other moisturizers i tried.(it actually controls my oil! i know right?).also,i've never had break outs using this..since it's claimed to be non-comogenic..i'm really happy that i found this product 2 year ago since i had a very hard time finding a good moisturizer that can compromise with my super oily, breakout prone skin..so i recommend this to those who want's a safe moisturizer.
details-it is clinically proven to normalise combination skin by moisturising dry areas while controlling shine in oily areas(oil absorbing Microsponge system)
-lightweight,non-greasy and gives matte finish
-won't clog pores
-alcohol-free
-allergy tested
-fragrence-free
-dermatologically tested
the only thing i'm not quite satisfied about is it doesn't has any spf! unlike the neutrogena oil-free moisture(blue) that has spf 15.. i mean.if it has spf it would be the most perfect moisturizer ever!
| how it look like |
| after i blend it onto myskin...doesn't look oily at all right? |
rating: 4/5
that's all...good luck beauties!! and feel free to leave in request.:)
